The Control and Power Supply Unit (CPSU) is the heart of a discussion system. This versatile unit incorporates a digital acoustic feedback suppression facility, which allows any acoustic feedback (also known as “howling”) to be automatically eliminated. Users may manage the number of active microphones and determine the operating mode. Once set, there is no need for a central operator. External equipment can be connected to extend system possibilities. A built-in loudspeaker allows the conference to be monitored (to allow a stenographer, for example, to take notes on the conference).
Feedback Suppression features 4 modes for microphone operation and a “test” mode. Accommodates up to 50 microphones (3 can be linked together to accommodate up to 150 mics) Five inputs and outputs to interface to other equipment such as recording devices, external PA systems, teleconferencing systems, etc.
